Position OverviewThe Investment Analyst supports the firm s investment decision-making by conducting in-depth financial analysis, market research, and portfolio performance evaluation. This role is responsible for analyzing potential investment opportunities, preparing financial models, and developing reports and recommendations for senior management. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical ability, financial acumen, and attention to detail, with a passion for capital markets and long-term value creation.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Research and AnalysisConduct comprehensive research on industries, companies, and market trends to identify potential investment opportunitiesEvaluate financial statements, company performance, and key ratios to assess investment risks and returnsSupport due diligence efforts for prospective investments, mergers, and acquisitionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments, economic indicators, and regulatory changesFinancial Modeling and ValuationBuild, maintain, and update detailed financial models to forecast performance and valuation under various scenariosPerform DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses to determine fair valueAssist in preparing investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal committees or external stakeholdersPortfolio Management SupportMonitor portfolio performance, identify underperforming assets, and recommend corrective strategiesTrack key performance metrics such as IRR, ROI, and cash flow trendsPrepare periodic portfolio reports for senior management and investorsSupport asset allocation analysis and capital deployment strategiesCollaboration and CommunicationWork closely with senior analysts, portfolio managers, and finance teams to support investment decisionsPresent analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholdersAssist in coordinating cross-functional projects involving finance, legal, and risk management departmentsQualificationsEducation:Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related fieldMaster s degree, CFA, or progress toward CFA designation preferredExperience2 5 years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, corporate finance, or asset managementStrong background in financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysisExperience using financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSetSkillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelingSolid understanding of investment concepts, portfolio theory, and valuation methodsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlinesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with private equity, venture capital, or real estate investment analysisExperience preparing investment committee reports or investor presentationsWorking knowledge of Python, R, or SQL for data analysisWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with company contributionProfessional development support, including CFA sponsorship or continuing educationCollaborative and intellectually stimulating work environment
