Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students, resolving IT issues efficiently.
- Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, including computers, tablets, printers, projectors, smartboards and AV systems.
- Support classroom technology and educational software, ensuring that teaching and learning are fully enabled by IT systems.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, including LAN, WLAN and internet services.
- Assist with managing user accounts, access rights and email systems.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure systems are kept secure and up to date.
- Provide technical support for school events, presentations and meetings.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager on system upgrades, projects and improvements.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of two years experience in an IT support or technician role (experience in an educational setting is an advantage).
- Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with classroom technology such as projectors, interactive whiteboards and learning platforms is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users of all technical levels.
- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability and a solutions-focused approach.
