Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Ensure all housekeeping facilities, including but not limited guest rooms, public areas, food and beverage outlets, minibar, laundry and specified back of house areas are cleaned according to departmental standards
- Assist the Housekeepers through supplying rooms with clean linen, towels and room supplies, collect dirty laundry and deliver other relevant requested items
- Ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required
- Perform rotation cleaning duties as required
- Replenish amenities according to the operational standards
- Ensure proper labelling and handling of guest laundry, staff uniforms, and special items.
- Organize and store clean linen and uniforms in designated storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with the external laundry provider to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.
- Monitor linen stock levels and alert the Housekeeping Supervisor when restocking is required.
Customer Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by performing such duties as attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Handle guest laundry professionally, ensuring discretion and care.
- Respond politely and efficiently to guest inquiries while performing duties.
- Always maintain guest privacy and security during room or laundry service support.
People Specific Responsibilities
- Support a culture of service excellence and delivery taking pride in the work, taking personal responsibility for work, paying attention to detail, innovating, taking initiative, and working competently and confidently as one team
- Attend and participate in all training, including in safety, service, product knowledge, customer care and cultural awareness
- Communicate with others accurately and timely to ensure speed and quality of logistical services
- Advise management of any complaints, observations, maintenance needs and the like to ensure management is aware of issues to be addressed
- Occasionally assisting porters in their duties
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 2-year experience in 5star hotel as Laundry Valet
Preferably an Arabic speaker
