The Lead Electrical Designer plays a pivotal role within our engineering team, leading the design and execution of electrical systems for various projects. Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the development of electrical design plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate electrical systems within overall project frameworks.
• Review and critique designs to ensure compliance with client specifications and standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior designers, providing guidance on best practices in electrical design.
• Conduct site visits to assess and resolve technical challenges in ongoing projects.
• Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure milestone completions and resource allocations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant legal and safety standards and codes.
• Provide technical support to resolve complex design and installation issues.
• Facilitate communication between clients and the project team to ensure project alignment.
• Participate actively in client presentations and design review meetings.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for the acquisition of necessary project materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design within a professional setting.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design software and computer-aided design tools.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards, including NEC and other relevant regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure on complex projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
