Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Contract Management, Review and Negotiation. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, sales contracts, and NDAs, to safeguard company interests.

  2. Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle—from initial drafting and execution to renewal or termination—while maintaining accurate records in company databases.

  3. Compliance & Governance: Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies. Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

  4. Legal Advice & Strategic Support: Provide practical legal advice to internal departments (HR, Sales, Finance) and advise senior management on legal rights, obligations, and corporate governance.

  5. Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, or other legal proceedings and develop effective defense strategies.

  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, procurement, and operations teams to align contractual terms with business goals.

  7. Process Improvement: Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and procedures across all business units.

  8. Documentation Oversight: Ensure the accuracy of all contract documents, signatories, and relevant attachments, ensuring they are updated in a timely manner.

  9. PRO & Government Liaison. Oversee and support the PRO department for ensuring smooth operations within the UAR regulatory framework.

  10. Government Relations & Notarization. Manage the notarization and legalization of corporate documents, board resolutions, and Power of Attorney (POA) through the UAE Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  11. Regulatory Monitoring: Proactively monitor changes in UAE Federal Laws, such as the Commercial Companies Law and Labor Law, to update internal policies and contract templates accordingly.

  12. External Liaison. Serve as the primary point of contact for government auditors or inspectors to ensure the entity remains in good standing and avoids administrative fines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in contract management or legal administration. Experience should include establishing general/vendor contracts and evaluating variations or amendments.

Regional Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor Law, Commercial Companies Law, and various Free Zone regulations.

Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and risk management principles.

Languages: Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (written and oral) is required.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Soft Skills: Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal staff.

Ethics: High level of professional ethics, integrity, and discretion.


Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with a requirement for collaboration across internal teams.

  • Occasional travel for visits to clients, customers, or external attorneys.

  • Ability to manage and complete deadlines.
