Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the bottling line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of soft drinks and juices. The role requires strong leadership and people management skills, good understanding of food safety systems, and basic technical knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities on the bottling line to meet production schedules and targets.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, product specifications, and company procedures.
Monitor line efficiency, downtime, and wastage; implement corrective actions where necessary.
Coordinate product changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation activities.
2. People Management
Lead, motivate, and train line operators and packaging staff to achieve production goals.
Plan and allocate work shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Foster a positive, safe, and efficient work environment through coaching and feedback.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
3. Food Safety & Quality Assurance
Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the production area according to company and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to investigate and resolve quality deviations or non-conformities.
4. Equipment and Maintenance Support
Monitor equipment performance and promptly report abnormalities to the maintenance team.
Assist in minor adjustments and preventive maintenance activities as needed.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs.
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare and submit daily production reports and performance metrics.
Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Contribute to the implementation of safety and efficiency projects.
