Job Description

The Logistics Executive plays a critical role in the supply chain process by ensuring the efficient flow of goods from supplier to customer. This position involves planning, implementing, and overseeing logistics and supply chain strategies to ensure that the organization meets its overall objectives. The Logistics Executive coordinates with different departments such as procurement, operations, and sales to streamline operations and maximize efficiency. They must be adept at negotiating with vendors, managing budgets, and applying logistical solutions to improve service levels. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills to assess inefficiencies, develop solutions, and report on supply chain performance. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers effectively.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Analyze and evaluate the logistics process to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage logistics budgets and forecast future logistical needs accurately.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and shipment documentation.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize software systems to streamline logistics operations and track shipments.
  • Provide training and support to logistics staff and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in logistics operations.
  • Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on logistics activities and present findings to management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role with responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technologies for efficient operation management.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and solve problems creatively and efficiently.
