Roles & Responsibilities

What you will be doing

  • HR Systems & Data Management

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRM and other Jumia HR systems

    • Conduct regular data audits to ensure information completeness and accuracy

    • Generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports for country leadership and Group HR

    • Support the implementation of system updates as directed by Group HR Operations

    Employee Lifecycle Administration

    • Process all employee lifecycle transactions in HRM (hiring, transfers, promotions, exits)

    • Prepare and issue employment contracts and amendments according to local requirements

    • Coordinate the administrative aspects of onboarding and offboarding processes

    • Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with local regulations

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure HR documentation complies with local labor laws and Jumia policies

    • Prepare required statutory reports for local authorities

    • Support internal and external audits related to HR processes

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labor regulations

    Payroll & Benefits Support

    • Validate monthly payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance for accurate processing

    • Administer local benefits programs and ensure proper system documentation

    • Manage leave administration and attendance tracking

    • Support the annual compensation review process with accurate data preparation

    Employee Support

    • Serve as first point of contact for employee queries on HR operational matters

    • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits

    • Issue employment verification letters and other HR documentation

    • Support the local HR team with administrative tasks as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

What we are looking for

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in HR operations or administration within dynamic organizations.

    • Solid knowledge of local labor laws, HR systems, and compliance standards.

    • Strong analytical skills with experience in HR reporting and data management.

    • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS platforms.

    • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.

    • Results-driven mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

    • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
