Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
What you will be doing
-
HR Systems & Data Management
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRM and other Jumia HR systems
-
Conduct regular data audits to ensure information completeness and accuracy
-
Generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports for country leadership and Group HR
-
Support the implementation of system updates as directed by Group HR Operations
Employee Lifecycle Administration
-
Process all employee lifecycle transactions in HRM (hiring, transfers, promotions, exits)
-
Prepare and issue employment contracts and amendments according to local requirements
-
Coordinate the administrative aspects of onboarding and offboarding processes
-
Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with local regulations
Compliance & Reporting
-
Ensure HR documentation complies with local labor laws and Jumia policies
-
Prepare required statutory reports for local authorities
-
Support internal and external audits related to HR processes
-
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labor regulations
Payroll & Benefits Support
-
Validate monthly payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance for accurate processing
-
Administer local benefits programs and ensure proper system documentation
-
Manage leave administration and attendance tracking
-
Support the annual compensation review process with accurate data preparation
Employee Support
-
Serve as first point of contact for employee queries on HR operational matters
-
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
-
Issue employment verification letters and other HR documentation
-
Support the local HR team with administrative tasks as needed

Desired Candidate Profile
What we are looking for
-
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
-
3+ years of experience in HR operations or administration within dynamic organizations.
-
Solid knowledge of local labor laws, HR systems, and compliance standards.
-
Strong analytical skills with experience in HR reporting and data management.
-
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS platforms.
-
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
-
Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
-
Results-driven mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
-
Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
