Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. International Marketing & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Africa and Middle East markets.
  • Target government departments, defence forces, oil & gas companies, hospitals, distributors, importers, and large institutional buyers.
  • Develop country-wise and segment-wise market entry strategies.
  • Achieve assigned export sales targets and revenue goals.

2. Product-Specific Marketing & Technical Understanding

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of:
    • PPE: industrial safety, oil & gas PPE, flame-retardant, high-visibility, healthcare PPE
    • Uniforms: military, police, hospital, corporate, and industrial uniforms
    • Footwear: safety shoes, tactical boots, desert footwear, PU/Rubber/EVA soles
    • Leather: finished leather, leather goods, durability & weather resistance
    • Textiles: woven/knitted fabrics, technical & coated textiles
  • Coordinate sampling, product customization, and approvals as per regional requirements.

3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with buyers, distributors, agents, government bodies, and institutional clients.
  • Conduct product presentations, virtual meetings, and face-to-face negotiations.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, delivery schedules, and contracts.
  • Convert enquiries into long-term, repeat business.

4. Tenders, RFQs & Institutional Sales

  • Identify and participate in government and institutional tenders in African and Middle East countries.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with tender requirements, certifications, and standards.

5. Compliance & Export Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with international standards, country-specific regulations, and certifications.
  • Coordinate export documentation including LC, shipping documents, certificates of origin, and inspections.
  • Work closely with logistics, finance, and compliance teams for smooth export operations.

6. Travel & Market Representation

  • Travel extensively to Africa and Middle East countries for business development.
  • Represent the company at international trade fairs, exhibitions, buyer meets, and sourcing events.
  • Conduct market visits to understand local demand, pricing, and competition.

7. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing benchmarks, and buyer behavior.
  • Prepare regular MIS reports on leads, pipeline, confirmed orders, and collections.
  • Provide strategic inputs for product development and market expansion.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Graduate / MBA in Marketing, International Business, or relevant field
  • Technical background in textiles / PPE / footwear / leather technology preferred

Experience

  • 5 15 years of experience in international marketing and export business development
  • Mandatory exposure to African and/or Middle East markets
  • Experience in PPE / uniforms / footwear / leather / textiles exports highly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Understanding of international trade practices and INCOTERMS
  • Tender handling and institutional sales expertise
  • Target-oriented and commercially strong
  • Willingness to travel extensively
