Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, including inspections, lubrication, and component replacements, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex pump failures, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of issues effectively.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps, meticulously following manufacturer specifications and industry best practices for accuracy and safety.
- Conduct performance testing of pumps, analyzing data to assess efficiency, flow rates, and pressure, and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and testing results, ensuring comprehensive documentation for future reference.
- Install new pumps and related equipment, ensuring proper alignment, connections, and adherence to safety protocols for reliable operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve technical challenges and improve pump system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians, sharing expertise and promoting skill development within the team.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, prioritizing a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay updated on the latest pump technologies, maintenance techniques, and industry standards through continuous learning and training.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Exhibits a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in pump maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting within the industrial sector.
- Has experience in the oil and gas, water treatment, or manufacturing industries.
- Displays a preference for candidates with a strong understanding of pump types, including centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
- Shows proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and technical documentation.
- Exhibits strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
- Possesses the physical stamina to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
