Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural components.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Resolve technical issues related to MEP installations during project execution.
- Installation and Supervision:
- Oversee the installation of MEP systems to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to quality standards.
- System Testing and Commissioning:
- Perform testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure functionality and safety.
- Prepare reports documenting performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Develop maintenance schedules for MEP systems and address any operational issues.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving system malfunctions.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure MEP designs and installations comply with local and international regulations.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements.
- Cost and Resource Management:
- Estimate material and labor costs for MEP installations.
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Sustainability and Energy Efficiency:
- Incorporate sustainable practices into MEP designs and operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for MEP designs and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of all MEP activities and updates.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, including project design and execution.
- Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
