Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill newborn infants, addressing respiratory distress, prematurity complications, and congenital anomalies.
- Manage and interpret complex diagnostic tests, including blood gases, imaging studies, and neurological assessments, to guide treatment strategies.
- Perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion to stabilize and support compromised neonates.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and surgeons, to optimize patient outcomes and provide holistic care.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completed a residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, board-certified or board-eligible.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), demonstrating proficiency in critical care management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing extremely premature infants, including those with complex medical and surgical needs.
