Roles & Responsibilities

IBM Guardium Suppport Engineer responsibilities

  • Support to complete the full installation scope post takeover from the implementation team
  • Implementing data security policies based on compliance and requirements
  • Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) Configuration to ensure continuous monitoring and anomaly detection.
  • Adjusting Guardium policies to reduce false positives and enhance efficiency.
  • Design and implement data security policies aligned with the requirements.
  • Apply role-based policies tailored for privileged users, application service accounts, and external access.
  • Ensure policies are structured for audit readiness, exception handling, and real-time alerting.
  • Monitor alert volume and fine-tune policies to reduce false positives and operational noise.
  • Implement event correlation and suppression rules where appropriate to enhance efficiency.
  • Review rule hits and optimize based on risk trends.
