Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for preparing and processing Bills of Lading (B/L), managing shipping documentation, and supporting daily logistics operations. The role requires experience in handling documentation under Letters of Credit (LC) to ensure compliance with banking and international trade requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue Bills of Lading (B/L) based on shipping instructions.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipment details including shipper, consignee, cargo description, quantity, and ports.
  • Ensure all original and copy B/L sets are prepared according to customer or bank requirements.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines for B/L confirmation, amendments, and release.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates.
  • Ensure all documents comply with Letter of Credit (LC) requirements when applicable.
  • Maintain proper documentation records and filing systems.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines and airlines regarding shipment schedules.
  • Monitor cargo movement from booking through delivery.
  • Handle documentation corrections and amendments when required.
  • Liaise with customers, agents, and banks regarding documentation and shipment status.
  • Provide updates on document dispatch and cargo movement.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with international shipping regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of shipping documentation and Bill of Lading preparation.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations.
  • Practical experience handling export documentation under Letters of Credit (LC) and ensuring compliance with banking requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping documentation systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Solid knowledge of shipping documentation and Bill of Lading preparation.

Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations.

Practical experience handling export documentation under Letters of Credit (LC) and ensuring compliance with banking requirements.
