Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring they meet timelines, cost targets, and quality standards. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role focuses on day-to-day operational control, performance tracking, issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and company procedures. The role supervises Project Managers and provides operational support without full strategic leadership

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (mandatory)
  2. Postgraduate studies in project management or business (preferred but not essential)
  3. PMP and OSHA are proffered

  1. Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with 5-7 years in a multi-project supervisory or coordination role
  2. Prior experience managing site operations or acting as a Project Manager on medium-scale projects is preferred

KRA:

  • Supervise daily construction activities to ensure timely execution as per project schedules.
  • Support Project Managers and site teams in resolving issues related to manpower, equipment, or coordination.
  • Track project progress, identify delays, and escalate critical issues to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with HR and Procurement to ensure timely availability of required resources.
  • Monitor site compliance with safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison to resolve conflicts, resource overlaps, and project delays.
  • Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams as needed.
  • Assist in cost monitoring by coordinating with the cost control team and reporting deviations.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE standards through regular coordination with the safety team.
  • Support project planning, documentation, reporting, inspections, vendor coordination, and handover readiness.
