Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Operations Support Manager, you will oversee and coordinate administrative, financial, and operational support functions to ensure the smooth running of plant activities. Your role is critical in enabling efficient operations by providing structured support across multiple departments, including operations, maintenance, procurement, finance, warehouse, and compliance.
You will play a key role in budget management, reporting, contract administration, and driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and overall performance.
Duties:
- Manage daily operational support activities, ensuring effective coordination across departments (operations, maintenance, procurement, finance, HR).
- Oversee procurement processes, logistics, transportation, canteen, and camp operations to ensure uninterrupted support services.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, track expenditures, analyze variances, and provide regular financial and operational reports.
- Support cost control initiatives and contribute to financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Administer service contracts, vendor agreements, and regulatory documentation, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Support operational and strategic initiatives by preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and business cases for improvements and investments.
- Lead and supervise the operations support team (including procurement and warehouse staff), ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align support functions with operational objectives, promoting efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations support, business administration, or a similar role, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
- Good understanding of industrial operations and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and contract management platforms.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Kurdish and/or Arabic is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
