Job Description

The P&C's function is to promote Heartist satisfaction, ensure compliance with federal and local employment and labor laws, and ensure adherence to the most demanding standards in the luxury sector.

The P&C is responsible for the planning, management, control and coordination of salaries and wages, benefits, professional and internal team relations, and training. It participates in the development and drafting of policies, procedures and practices designed to meet the hotel's operational needs.

  • Supervise administrative activities related to payroll, benefits, compliance with legal provisions and labor law.
  • To finalize the budget allocated to training and human resources
  • Implement directives, policies and procedures in accordance with the group's leadership
  • Develop a recruitment/selection strategy for employees and a mobility process
  • To foster the development of employees in order to enable them to fully realize their potential
  • Create and implement an integration and training strategy aimed at developing employee effectiveness
  • Supervise activities and contribute to achieving objectives related to customer and team member satisfaction.
  • Advise management on the handling and resolution of performance issues that arise within the hotel.
  • Manage and implement the performance evaluation system
  • To be an integral part of the operations team, attend all scheduled meetings and actively contribute as prepared
  • Conduct interviews and select, train, evaluate, supervise, advise and discipline department managers/employees, in accordance with company criteria.
  • Communicating effectively with team members
  • Evaluate market changes and trends in compensation and make recommendations
  • Measuring employee satisfaction through surveys, roundtables, and individual interviews with team members
  • Anticipate and address issues related to internal social relations; respond promptly to employee requests and demonstrate initiative to promote team member satisfaction.
  • to be a source of inspiration for all hotel staff in order to encourage them to deliver performances worthy of a luxury establishment
  • To interact positively with other departments in order to guarantee clients the welcome expected of a luxury establishment
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations
  • Lead by example by strictly adhering to Sofitel values, brand codes, and guidelines regarding dress and presentation.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in human resources management, preferably in the luxury sector
  • Excellent understanding of employment and labor law
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to train team members and develop their skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and a sense of initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software)
  • Language skills according to the hotel's needs
