Part Time MBA Career Development Advisor
We are looking for a part time Career Development Advisor based in Dubai with exposure to real- world business experience within an international environment to shape the career journey for our part time MBA cohorts. Helping our students to navigate the turbulence of job markets, develop strategies to identify opportunities and value propositioning as competitive candidates?
Job Summary
We are looking for a careers specialist to coach our Part Time MBA community across a diverse portfolio of skillsets and ages. You will be advising students from varied professional experiences spanning from mid-career 5 years +, and more seasoned professionals 15+ years.
The successful candidate will be able to develop a rapport with diverse individuals who are in a process of transformation as they make their way through their 2 year MBA journey. Whilst supporting students to understand their career needs and guide them in a personalized career strategy (leveraging career service resources, alumni network and training/upskilling content creation, amongst others).
Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1 on 1 coaching sessions and career strategy sessions, to be offered in a 1 on 1 and/or in a group setting
  • Conduct document reviews (powered by new technology), resume/cover letters to support students in customizing their profiles to employment applications and the systems in place
  • Monitor career trends and integrate best practices support the career development across different industries by staying up to date on market research and employer trends and feed this into advisory, content creation, and on demand resources as deemed relevant.
  • Build connections within the Hult community to create and manage a mentoring program, to provide access to specialist industry expertise
  • Be able to engage and deliver online and in person workshops in a classroom setting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree, minimum 5 years of work experience in a Career Services, Coaching and/or HR. Prior experience working mid- senior level stakeholders
  • Ability to foster and celebrate an inclusive, equitable, and diverse community.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and commitment to building relationships across a broad and international stakeholder map.
  • Microsoft office proficiency; word, excel, powerpoint and outlook.
  • Familiarity using CRM; Salesforce or other.
  • Team player: Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments in different timezones
  • Empathy and patience. Excellent communicator and strong public speaking skills.
  • Customer Centric. Passionate about Talent Development at all career stages.
  • Understanding of and passion for higher education.
