Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and BOQs related to lighting control, home automation, and GRMS system.

  • Understand client requirements and propose optimal solutions tailored to budget and scope.

  • Attend client and consultant meetings to present technical solutions and value propositions.

    Solution Design

  • Design lighting control and automation systems using platforms like KNX, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, or similar.

  • Prepare system architecture diagrams, I/O summaries, device schedules, and integration overviews.

  • Coordinate with MEP, interior design, and ELV teams to ensure compatibility and optimal integration.

    Cost Estimation & Proposal Development

  • Prepare cost estimates, solution BOQs, and commercial proposals.

  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to obtain pricing and ensure cost competitiveness.

  • Evaluate alternative products or solutions based on cost, lead time, and performance

    Technical Documentation

  • Develop technical submittals, compliance statements, method statements, and shop drawings as needed for tender and post-award stages.

  • Ensure all documentation is aligned with project specs and regulator standards.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and system integrators to ensure proposed solutions are executable.

  • Assist in handover of awarded projects to the implementation team with proper technical guidance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field provides a strong technical foundation.

    Experience:

  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in pre-sales or design of lighting control, GRMS, or building automation systems.

  • Exposure to hospitality, commercial, or luxury residential projects preferred.

    Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of lighting control protocols (eg, DALI, DMX, 0-10V) and automation platforms (eg., KNX, Lutron, Crestron).

  • Familiarity with integration protocols like BACnet, Modbus, RS485, IP-based systems.

  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Visio, and lighting control configuration tools.

    Certifications (Preferred)

  • KNX partner certification, Lutron programming certification, Crestron DMC-E, or similar vendor-based certifications.

    Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving, ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):.

  • Accuracy and competitiveness of technical proposals.

  • Proposal turnaround time.

  • Win/loss ratio of submitted tenders.

  • Customer/consultant satisfaction during pre-sales phase.

  • Quality and completeness of technical documentation.
