JOB TITLE: Pre-Sales Executive – Traditional Trade
DEPARTMENT: Sales – Food Services & Traditional Trade
IMMEDIATE MANAGER: Area Sales Manager - Traditional Trade
LOCATION: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.


JOB PURPOSE

The Pre-Sales Executive – Traditional Trade is responsible for developing and managing an assigned
retail territory to achieve company’s sales and distribution targets. This is a non-delivery sales role
focused on maximizing the visibility, availability, and performance of company products across
Traditional Trade outlets by taking accurate orders, expanding numeric distribution, and executing the
agreed journey plan.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Territory Sales & Distribution Execution

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and distribution targets by SKU and outlet type
• Retain and develop existing accounts while identifying and onboarding new retail customers to
expand numeric distribution

• Execute the daily journey plan, ensuring all outlets are serviced consistently and efficiently
• Take accurate orders in assigned outlets and ensure timely handover to customer service &
delivery team

2. In-Store Execution & Visibility

• Ensure all products are properly displayed, rotated, and merchandised according to company

guidelines

• Deploy POS materials and maintain planogram compliance in chilled and ambient areas
• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of in-store displays, chillers, and other visibility assets
• Prevent competitor intrusion on dedicated shelves, racks, and coolers

3. Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, staff, and decision-makers
• Communicate new product launches, promotions, and pricing updates clearly to all customers
• Address customer concerns promptly and escalate operational issues to the supervisor when
needed

• Obtain customer signoffs for all relevant documentation

4. Market Feedback & Reporting

• Monitor and report on competitor activity, pricing, stock levels, and market trends within the

territory

• Share insights with the Area Sales Manager to support route optimization and sales strategy
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales and outlet reports as per company
requirements

5. Asset & Compliance Management

• Ensure proper handling and care of all assigned company assets including mobile devices, POS

materials, and chillers placed in market

• Follow FIFO principles to reduce expiry and damages

• Act in line with company’s values and field standards at all times

• Sales Volume and Value vs. Target (Daily/Monthly)
• Numeric and Weighted Distribution Growth
• New Customer Openings

• Execution of Promotions and In-Store Visibility Standards
• Journey Plan Adherence and Outlet Coverage
• Product Availability and Out-of-Stock Reduction
• Asset Placement Accuracy and Care

• Competitor Intelligence Submission and Report Timeliness

Desired Candidate Profile

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pre-sales, merchandising, or van sales in the FMCG or

beverage industry within the UAE

• Strong knowledge of the UAE Traditional Trade landscape and local store network • Good knowledge of sales fundamentals, merchandising standards, and route execution • Effective communication and negotiation skills;

• Customer friendly, service oriented, can work under pressure.

• Familiarity with handheld devices or digital order systems is an advantage • Positive, energetic, and self-motivated with high standards of discipline and field responsibility • Must be able to work outdoors in fast-paced retail environments, 5 days per week • Valid UAE driving license is required.
