Roles & Responsibilities

Procurement Contracts Specialist Responsibilities

  • Contract management, negotiation, compliance

Negotiation and contract drafting

Understanding legal terms and contractual clauses

Vendor management and relationship building

Problem-solving and decision-making & Using ERP systems

Preparing and reviewing procurement contracts

Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication

Technical Competencies:

  • Contract drafting and negotiation: Intermediate to Advanced
  • Commercial terms & pricing models (T&C, SLA, indemnities, liability caps): Intermediate
  • Familiarity with procurement and sourcing processes, RFP/RFQ management, and vendor selection: Intermediate
  • Contract lifecycle management tools and repositories (CLM, SharePoint, or equivalent): Basic to Intermediate
  • Basic understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance areas affecting procurement and vendor relationships: Basic to Intermediate
  • Data analysis and reporting for contract metrics and spend analysis (Excel, basic SQL or BI tools preferred): Basic

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial contracts within procurement, sourcing, legal, or vendor management functions.
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing lifecycle, and supplier performance management.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to procurement activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey contractual risks and commercial trade-offs to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Experience with contract management systems or CLM tools and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
