Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring all steps are followed efficiently to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings against company standards for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to achieve favorable terms for the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather procurement needs and establish clear specifications for materials and services required.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track the delivery of goods to ensure timely receipt and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and procurement activities in the organization's database for easy access.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in the supply chain process.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues related to orders or product quality.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities and present findings to management to support informed decision-making.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally in a retail industry, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain, such as CPSM or CIPS, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP) is crucial for streamlining purchasing processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong analytical skills are necessary to assess supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are required to build lasting vendor relationships and advocate for the company's best interests.
  • Attention to detail is imperative for ensuring compliance with contracts and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving is essential for addressing supply chain disruptions and ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, while additional language skills can be a significant asset in dealing with international suppliers.
