Production Planner

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed production plans and schedules for structural steel, plate fabrication, piping spools, and storage tanks.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine fabrication scope and sequence.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and Project teams to ensure timely execution.

• Develop weekly and monthly production targets and monitor progress against baseline schedules.

• Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to meet project deadlines.

• Track material availability and coordinate with stores and procurement departments.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective action plans.

• Prepare production reports, MIS, dashboards, and progress presentations for management.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

• Support site erection teams with fabrication planning and dispatch coordination.

• Work closely with workshop supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.

Job requirements 

Strong knowledge of:

• Structural steel fabrication

• Plate fabrication and storage tank works

• Piping fabrication and spool management

Familiarity with refinery, petrochemical, and fertilizer project requirements.

Experience in contracting companies handling EPC/industrial projects.

Proficiency in planning tools such as:

• Primavera (P6) or MS Project

• Advanced Excel

• ERP systems

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and isometrics.

Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.

Experience in multi-discipline project environments.
