Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee projects from initiation through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining project goals, developing detailed plans, managing budgets and resources, coordinating cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks. This role requires ensuring clear communication with stakeholders, monitoring progress against scope, schedule, and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in project management tools. _________________________________________________________
Responsibilities.
Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including project managers, contractors, and other staff essential to project success.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, managing budgets and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and any deviations from plans.
Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee project performance, conducting regular reviews and status updates to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
Decision Making: Make critical decisions regarding project governance, staffing, and resource allocation to align with broader organizational goals
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements.
- Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 15 20 years of experience managing large-scale road and bridge construction projects, including oversight of QC/QA, safety compliance, and budget control.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, material management, project planning, and industry-standard project management tools.
Adaptability: Ability to work in challenging environments, deliver results under pressure, and travel within Libya as needed.
Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
