Job Description

As a Project Manager in Ship Repairing, you will lead and manage various projects related to the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of vessels. This role involves coordinating with shipyard teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery, providing guidance and support to ensure that all technical and logistical aspects are effectively addressed. The role demands a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Your expertise in shipbuilding, maritime regulations, and project management will be critical in ensuring the success of each project. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage ship repair and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with shipyard teams, contractors, and clients to align project goals and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for effective resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards during project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Manage project documentation, including technical specifications and contractual agreements.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to project team members and junior staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in maritime studies, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in project management within the maritime or shipbuilding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software for effective planning and execution.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP or equivalent in project management are preferred.
