Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Source and purchase scrap materials from reliable suppliers in alignment with the branch’s target.
Monitor market trends and material availability to ensure timely acquisition of materials.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including scrap yards, brokers, and other suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing of materials.
Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable terms, and secure long-term agreements to ensure a consistent supply of materials, in coordination with the purchasing team leader.
Ensure all materials meet established quality standards.
Work with quality assurance teams to address any discrepancies and ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) guidelines.
Monitor and control purchasing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and market analysis to stay within budget while maintaining material quality.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, pricing, and supplier agreements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Collaborates with purchasing team leader and quality assurance to align purchasing with operational needs and ensure material quality.
Engages with suppliers and brokers to secure reliable sourcing, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships.
Works with finance and logistics to manage budgets, approvals, and ensure timely material deliveries.
