Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Sourcing

    • Supervise daily purchasing activities, ensuring all requests are processed accurately and on time.

    • Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring best quality, price, and service standards.

    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors.

    • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with hotel policies and local regulations.

    Vendor & Inventory Management

    • Maintain and develop strong supplier relationships.

    • Monitor vendor performance and resolve discrepancies or delays.

    • Work closely with stores and receiving to ensure proper inventory control and stock levels.

    • Support sustainable purchasing practices in line with IHG Green Engage initiatives.

    Financial Control & Reporting

    • Verify purchase orders, quotations, and supplier invoices before submission for approval.

    • Track and control departmental budgets to ensure cost efficiency.

    • Prepare purchasing reports, cost analyses, and market comparisons for management.

    Team Supervision & Collaboration

    • Supervise and guide purchasing officers and clerks in daily tasks.

    • Provide training on procurement policies, systems, and supplier communication.

    • Coordinate with F&B, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments to fulfill operational needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

3 5 years experience in hotel purchasing, with at least 1 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of procurement systems (e.g., Sun System, BirchStreet, FMC) preferred.

Strong understanding of local suppliers, hotel procurement processes, and UAE regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and able to work under pressure.
