Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Controller to join our retail fit-out manufacturing facility, specializing in bespoke joinery and luxury retail shopfitting projects.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, quality-driven, and experienced in managing quality across factory production, finishing, and site coordination, ensuring full compliance with client and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and maintain QA/QC objectives, standards, and procedures

  • Enforce quality assurance policies across all manufacturing operations

  • Conduct incoming material inspections from vendors and subcontractors

  • Perform In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) at all production stages

  • Carry out final inspections, prepare snag lists, and coordinate rectifications

  • Monitor and improve Work In Progress (WIP) quality

  • Investigate NCRs, customer complaints, and implement CAPA

  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and rejection notes

  • Lead final inspection before dispatch

  • Conduct root cause analysis (Why-Why) for recurring quality issues

  • Support and deliver quality training for production teams

  • Visit supplier facilities to address and resolve quality concerns

  • Visit project sites to ensure factory-supplied items meet quality benchmarks

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes

  • Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, laminates, veneers, solid wood, Corian, hardware, and fittings

  • Experience in luxury retail shopfitting standards

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and BOQs

  • Hands-on experience with IPQC, final inspections, and snag management

  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and corrective action planning

  • Knowledge of QA/QC documentation, NCRs, and CAPA systems

  • close attention to detail with a quality-first mindset

  • Strong coordination and communication skills with production, procurement, and site teams

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections simultaneously

  • Proven experience as a Quality Controller / QAQC in retail fit-out or joinery manufacturing

  • Experience in UAE fit-out projects preferred

  • Familiarity with client inspections and consultant coordination is an advantage
