CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
Personal Care (PC) business in PTAB is a large, profitable, growing market and thus represents a significant growth opportunity in Unilever. We have an ambition to double incremental turnover in the next 3 years and we are accretive to overall PC Business Group (BG). We have a diverse geographical footprint spanning markets like Pakistan, Turkey, Arabia and Bangladesh.
We see a clear opportunity to grow our core PC brands through market-making (driving penetration & consumption), premiumization (upgradation), and drive competitiveness across channels.
Fragrance is the seen as a key driver of success of our products, especially in a region where fragrance is critical to every interaction.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be
This is a cross-category role that will support two categories in the BU, Skin Cleansing and Deodorants.
- SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for new portfolio briefs on Local Jewels
- Help the regional teams draft best in class (what is needed) briefs
- Leverage perfume menu from the Global Fragrance Toolbox (or Sandbox) for locally managed jewels and complexity reduction opportunities
- Work Closely with the Global Fragrance team to define what s possible solutions and timelines if a fragrance (re)formulation is needed.
- Support where necessary on submission mtgs, preparation of sample
- Execute and amplify new fragrance introductions
- Ensure new fragrance introductions are managed smoothly enable best in class execution, claims and positioning
- Lead Olfactive Mapping and Understanding in the regions
- Play a key role in ensuring the relevance of olfactive insights and stay current with consumers and the trends in the market
- Execute Regional Training and Trends Delivery in the regions including factory and Quality training
- Leverage Global Trends, put a local twist and ensure always on trends session
- Deliver training needs in the region via globally developed program, feed new needs into the global team
- Execute simplification, compliance and cost saving agenda in the region
- Work closely with BG Compliance & Savings Single Point of Contact expert to develop and execute plans
- Enable consumer testing and competitive tracking in the region - assisting with samples, placing test with support and decoding results with global team. Would they also work on consumer habits and helping define moments of truth for region
Experiences & Qualifications
- Evaluation training / Perfumery Training
- Work in relevant categories
- Science or formulation experience
- Area of Specialization Fragrance Development, Regional Consumer Olfactive Insights, and testing
- Educational Qualification: Bachelors in technical fragrance field.
- Evaluation: Must have training and/or significant experience in one or more categories as a lead evaluator. Ideally some level of perfumer training and experience working with perfumers
- Leadership skills: This job requires to work in a multi-stakeholder business environment and needs to be assertive in order to lead the function and collaborative for faster decision making.
- Interdependent work within a network and freedom within a framework context. Collaborate with other evaluators cross the company to deliver the best innovation options for the business.
- Bias for action: The attitude to get things done and to be entrepreneurial and where needed to set up new systems
- Winning Attitude: Our fragrances are a key attribute for our products success, and we strive to always have winning fragrances. They must have a passion and drive for creating winning fragrances.
- Passionate Expert and Storyteller: The candidate must be fluent in the language of fragrance, bringing it alive for the brands and helping our partners develop the best fragrances possible.
- Capability Builder: The candidate must be able to build capability in everyone around them with regards to fragrances and to implement and execute training in the BUs cross functionally.
- Key Interfaces: Regional BU R&D/Brand, Global Fragrance Design Team.
