ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Manager (Physical Trading) supports the development and execution of strategies to drive growth and profitability in ASEAN markets within trading sector, based in Hong Kong. This role involves identifying new client opportunities, building and maintaining existing client relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include market analysis, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of trading dynamics.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Sales team in managing the existing client portfolio.
Serve as the primary contact for all customer inquiries.
Provide quotes and close Physical Trade deals with clients in Hongkong, Singapore and ASEAN region.
Understand and promote the current product/service offerings to increase client wallet share.
Build and monitor CRM processes to ensure customer queries being addressed promptly.
Ensure that the highest level of customer service is consistently delivered.
Maintain and analyze client databases and analytics.
Regularly meet with existing clients to address their needs and requirements.
Be self-motivated, take initiative, and actively contribute to the sales team.
Measure performance through KPIs, focusing on client volume and profitability.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in finance, in business development, sales, or in related fields.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the trading sector.
Strong understanding of trading dynamics and market trends, particularly in ASEAN and Far East markets.
Drive new client acquisition and onboard strategic relationships across ASEAN markets.
Excellent skills in building and maintaining client relationships; experience in managing a client portfolio.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide quotes, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Strong analytical abilities for market analysis, proposal preparation, and client portfolio management.
Proven ability to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address client queries effectively.
Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team and coordinate with internal teams.
Experience in maintaining databases and analytics related to client portfolios.
Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team and coordinate with internal teams.
Familiarity with CRM tools and data analytics.
Track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs related to client volumes and profitability.
