What You Can Expect

  • Actively represent BASF Group interests and act as a role model with regards to Compliance and Code of conduct, ensure adherence to legal regulations and the company s internal guidelines as well CORE values and principles

Functional / Operational tasks

  • Implement Training and Education Seminars by continuous mentoring and development (Train-the-Trainer) of nominated personnel with training subject matter, training methods & training techniques.
  • Conduct practical and theoretical training seminars and Coordinate and conduct new customer conversions to support skills development, customer binding and Regional Business Management development initiatives.
  • Support country organizations to adapt endorsed training seminars to meet the needs of local markets requirements and ensure customer satisfaction, assesses and integrates customer feedback into the processes.
  • Perpetual assessment (competency monitoring) and realization of specific development plans for Field Trainers.
  • Support the implementation of competency monitoring programs & development plans for technical, service/support and sales staff.
  • Product and painting system support by providing information and conducting application demonstrations to assist new product launch & strategic Regional Business Management initiatives.
  • Conduct evaluations with BASF and competitor products & painting systems to support Regional Business Management objectives.
  • Continuously developing general knowledge of the relevant markets and attain exceptional skills in product information, technologies and knowledge transfer methods (didactics).



What You Offer

  • Education & training required plus additional time-extensive job-related training including formal examination (e.g. PhD, BS - MS, MBA)
  • Successful completion of Secondary school
  • Master Spray Painter or comparable certification i.e accreditation in refinish paint application or refinish trade qualifications.
  • Ability to work autonomous and responsibly according to main tasks and objectives
  • Broad depth of experience required in the refinish industry
  • Experience working with similar systems in a similar business environment
  • Several years of technical/sales experience
  • Very good communication skills (advantage: coaching / teaching experience)
  • Understands and appropriately promotes Customer Value Propositions
  • Ability to travel frequently, domestic and internationally
  • Knowledge of both solvent and waterborne paint technology
  • Outstanding knowledge of application, products and technologies
  • Excellent time management and self-organization ability
