Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives in revenue, growth, and market share.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Recruit, train, and motivate sales representatives to achieve performance targets.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the sales team and monitor progress through regular performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and continuous professional development to team members.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and consistent communication.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of trade with key accounts.

4. Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships in assigned territories.
  • Coordinate product promotions, launches, and marketing initiatives with the marketing department.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

5. Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to pharmaceutical regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Monitor credit limits, payment collections, and minimize overdue accounts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performance teams.
