Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP to ensure transparency and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying trends and discrepancies, and presenting actionable recommendations to management for improved financial performance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoicing and follow-up for collections, to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable for advanced financial acumen.
CPA certification is essential, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and expertise in accounting principles.
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably within the Maritime field finance sector.
Experience with financial analysis and reporting, showcasing the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
