Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting the Finance Manager in all aspects of reporting, budgeting, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.

  • Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.

  • Review and process expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing reports.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, payroll tax, and corporate tax).

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.

  • Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial records.

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Finance Manager.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax laws.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
