Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather information on project requirements, scope, and specifications, ensuring alignment on budget and timelines.
  • Conduct market research to assess labor, material, and equipment costs, adjusting estimates based on economic trends and local market conditions.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to clients, highlighting value propositions and addressing potential concerns to secure contracts.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and competitive pricing.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in construction principles and practices.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating for construction projects, with a proven track record of successful bids across various sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or similar credentials that demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in estimating.
  • Experience in commercial and residential construction, with a preference for candidates who have worked on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating) and advanced Excel skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
