Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Senior Frontend Engineer in our team, you will work within the development team to build the user-interface and front-end deliverables. Collaborating with Product Managers, Architects and Software Engineers to research, design, implement and improve functionalities of information management application as part of a Big Data analytic system.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript).
• Contribute the frontend architecture and establish best practices for scalable, maintainable, and testable codebases.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and ensure smooth data flow between frontend and backend.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship, and guide the team toward engineering excellence
• Monitor and mitigate common web vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF, clickjacking, injection attacks)
• Stay up to date with emerging web technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and code quality initiatives.
• Collaborate in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) to plan sprints, define tasks, and deliver on deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• GIS related libraries (e.g. Mapbox, Cesium)
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with state management (e.g., Redux, MobX).
• Familiarity with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.).
• Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g. Jest).
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ideally, you should have

• Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
• Understanding of frontend performance profiling and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, MUI, Tailwind).
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
