Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Cisco IOS/NX-OS.

• Wireless: Cisco, HP Aruba, Cisco ISE, ClearPass
• Network Security: Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper), IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Cloud WAF
• Load balancing: F5, Citrix NetScaler, ALB
• AWS: Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, ALB, Security groups, NACLS
• ITIL Foundation
• Automation: Proficiency in Python or Ansible for network configuration management and orchestration.
• Monitoring: SNMP, NetFlow, QoS, advanced use of network performance monitoring (NPM) tools.
• Cloud Networking: Connectivity to major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), VNet/VPC design, and cloud firewall integration.
• Industry standards - Certifications for network related requirements such as in ISO27001 etc.
• Operations & Engineering:
• Perform as Level 2 technical escalation point for all network-related incidents, performing deep-dive analysis, packet captures, and root cause analysis to permanently resolve persistent or critical network outages.
• Manage and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and solutions, ensuring compliance with defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and/or EIGRP in a diverse routing infrastructure.
• Perform firewall administration, VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access), and network security policies to protect the network perimeter and internal segments.
• Monitor network performance using advanced tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace) to ensure optimal health, capacity utilization, and proactive problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain accurate network topology diagrams, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
• Ability to capture and interpret Wireshark logs for in depth packet level analysis
• Adhere to flydubai change management process and procedures for efficient use and handling of all resource changes (Hardware, software, service, and data) to minimize the impact of Change-related faults
• Hands on experience with firewalls, routers, bridges, switches and gateway devices, appliances and software.
• Hands on experience with AWS including Direct connect, transit gateway, ALB, Security groups etc
• Highly skilled in network-oriented problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting
• Highly knowledgeable in network fundamentals and IP communication technologies
• Able to handle private and confidential information with physical and ethical care
• Ability to identify and rapidly learn new and complex technologies
• Security & Compliance:
• Implement and enforce security best practices across all network components, working closely with the security team on vulnerability management and remediation.
• Ensure all networks and their processes adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, etc).
• Project & Operations Support:
• Provide technical delivery of IT infrastructure projects related to network.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for complex networks and procedures.
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet project milestones and support SLAs.
• Network Architecture & Design:
• Design, plan, and implement complex, resilient, and high-performance network solutions (e.g., routing, switching, wireless, firewall, load balancing) across multi-site and datacentre environments including cloud services (IaaS, PaaS).
• Collaborate with Network Architects and other IT teams to define the network technology roadmap and ensure network designs align with strategic business objectives and scalability requirements.
• Maintain network roadmap and architecture standards, ensuring new solutions align with security requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support proof-of-concept efforts and technical evaluations of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the IT network environment.
• Audit & Compliance:
• Collaborate with IT, audit, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organization policies, regulations & standards
• Prepare, update, and keep documentation and artifacts in place required for alignment with organization policies, regulations & standards.
• Security:
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and network security technologies
• Ensure organization is always kept safe from network related threats.
• Support:
• Provide 24x7 support for network related incidents and problems.
• Provide level 2 support (as subject matter expert) for the relevant network solutions & services
