Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of digital solutions that enhance citizen services across Dubai. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for innovation in digital experience platforms.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work with business leaders, product owners, vendors, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions using modern technologies and architecture patterns.

Architecture Strategy & Governance

  • Define and evolve digital product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals and compliance requirements.
  • Enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance processes across projects.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for digital services, platforms, and vendor solutions.
  • Design modular, reusable, and agile-based architectures for web and mobile platforms.
  • Define success metrics (e.g. uptime, cost, latency) and ensure high-performance implementation.
  • Integrate CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Cloud & Emerging Technologies

  • Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions using microservices, containers, and event-driven patterns.
  • Explore AI/ML use cases and lead proof-of-concept development for emerging tech.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural blueprints.
  • Evaluate vendors, manage external partners, and ensure compliance with government data regulations.
  • Support project delivery teams with technical guidance and alignment to architecture vision.

Continuous Innovation & Improvement

  • Track market trends and technologies; update architecture standards accordingly.
  • Lead PoCs and innovation pilots to explore new tools and frameworks.

Desired Candidate Profile


Skills & Experience


  • Architecture Leadership: Over 12 years of experience in Solution and Technology Architecture, with at least 7 years delivering complex, enterprise-scale IT projects.
  • Web & Mobile Development: Deep hands-on expertise in developing and architecting large-scale web platforms and native mobile applications.
  • Emerging Technologies: 2–4 years of practical experience in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and automation.
  • Design Patterns: Proven experience in designing scalable solutions using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices frameworks.
  • System Implementation: Strong, hands-on background in end-to-end systems implementation across multiple platforms.
  • DevOps Proficiency: Solid understanding and applied experience with DevOps principles and tools, including CI/CD, automation, containerization, and monitoring.
  • Modern Tech Stack:
    Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries, Vue.js
    Backend: Node.js, Quarkus microservices
    APIs: RESTful API development and integration
    Security: OAuth2, SAML, JWT for web authentication/authorization
  • Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of traditional (RDBMS) and non-traditional (NoSQL) databases and their appropriate use in solution design.
  • Agile Environment: Experienced in working within agile delivery frameworks, with flexibility to operate in hybrid (agile + waterfall) setups.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working closely with C-level executives, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Business-IT Alignment: Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with corporate strategy and business objectives, driving reusability and efficiency in enterprise architecture.
  • Architecture Best Practices: Well-versed in modern architecture styles including microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design using well-architected frameworks.
  • Communication of Technical Concepts: Able to translate complex technical topics into simple, business-friendly language for non-technical audiences.
