Roles & Responsibilities

Storefront Development & Customisation

  • Customise, and maintain Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Implement new features, sections, and templates based on business requirements.

  • Ensure responsive, cross-browser, and mobile-first experiences.

App & Integration Work

  • Integrate third-party apps and APIs (payments, analytics, etc.).

  • Build or customise private/custom apps where required.

Performance & CRO

  • Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.

  • Support CRO initiatives (A/B testing, PDP enhancements, checkout optimisation).

Maintenance & Support

  • Troubleshoot bugs, theme issues, and app conflicts.

  • Provide ongoing technical support during launches, campaigns, and peak trading periods.

Best Practices

  • Follow Shopify and development best practices.

  • Ensure clean, documented, and version-controlled code.

What Success Looks Like

  • Faster turnaround time for feature requests and fixes.

  • Stable, high-performing storefronts.

  • Clean integrations with minimal operational issues.

  • Improved conversion and customer experience.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

  • Experience with Shopify 2.0 themes and section-based architecture.

  • Experience integrating third-party apps and APIs.

  • Understanding of e-commerce fundamentals (catalogs, PDPs, checkout, promotions, payments).

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Nice to Have

  • Experience with headless Shopify or Hydrogen.

  • Experience working with OMS / ERP / PIM systems.

  • Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and performance monitoring tools.

  • Experience in multi-store, multi-region Shopify environments.
