Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for providing technical support service to Mesaieed NGL & NF plants with associated utilities. Ensure continuous and efficient operations of all process plants and product quality. Examine problems on plant operation and solve processing problems as they arise by troubleshooting using simulation models, RTPIMS and LIMS. Seeks continuous development of the facilities and process systems. Monitors performance of process units by means of process calculations and laboratory analysis on regular basis. One day shutdown of one plant will have minimum loss of 4.0 MM QR.

Review daily analysis for feeds, intermediate and product streams plus utilities, as well as investigate analysis as required. Interpret routine laboratory test results to operating conditions as appropriate and advise Plants Operation accordingly.

Recommends the latest Process Engineering, Safety, Environment Technology, update/establish operating procedures, standing instructions, monitor chemicals and utilities consumption, process effluents, carryout complex process and pipeline simulation for trouble shooting and new modifications.

Coordinates/interface with Engineering/Projects/Consultants/Contractors/Consumers and relevant QatarEnergy department on NGL plants projects and modifications.

Assists Engineering/Projects team during the design & commissioning phases as required.

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 8- 10 years in Hydrocarbon Processing Industry including 3-4 experience at a supervisory level in production operations.

Received general instructions. Determines work priorities, plans and completes assignments within professional and technical standards.

Required to audit and update Standing Instructions.

Educational Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering plus formal training in computer operations.
