Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full liaison with other members of the Stewarding team.
- Strong communication with associates within the department.
- Key relationship with the Chefs and F&B Department associates.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with other departments in the Hotel, especially Culinary and Event Team.
- Ensures cleanliness of all washing up and cleaning machinery and that equipment is in proper working order. Reports faults to the supervisor.
- Learns the fire and safety precautions and in particular those concerning the machinery and equipment used in the dish washing and kitchen areas. Learns how to operate the kitchen firefighting equipment.
- Uses cleaning materials and chemicals in a proper and economical manner.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Ensures that through efficient work practices a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is achieved.
- Attends training sessions and / or departmental meetings if and when assigned.
- Ensure full liaison with other members of the Stewarding team.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Always maintain positive guest relations.
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Standard Responsibilities
- Comply and adhere to the Rosewood company policies.
- Take on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
- Be always a brand ambassador and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
- Model the company s culture, vision, mission, principles, and Culture Characteristics.
- Ensure new technology and equipment is embraced, improving productivity whilst taking work out of the system.
