Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate will assist customers, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure shelves are fully stocked and organized to provide a smooth shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

  • Handle customer inquiries and provide product information

  • Replenish stock on shelves and ensure proper display of products

  • Monitor expiry dates and remove damaged or outdated items

  • Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store

  • Assist in receiving and unloading deliveries

  • Follow company policies, safety, and hygiene standards

  • Support team members and supervisors as needed

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • Previous retail or supermarket experience is an advantage

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays

  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
