Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Data Migration Lead / Data Specialist to lead and manage a Core Banking Data Migration Project. The ideal candidate will plan, strategize, execute, and oversee the migration of critical banking data from legacy systems to modern core banking platforms, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance.

This role demands strong expertise in Finacle Core Banking, deep understanding of data architecture, and hands-on experience managing large-scale banking data migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Data Migration Projects: Manage end-to-end data migration – scoping, planning, execution, testing, and implementation.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: Review and validate data mapping from legacy systems to Finacle, identifying and resolving functional/technical issues.
• Data Quality Assurance: Oversee data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business and IT teams to define requirements and ensure smooth execution.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Lead testing activities including unit, integration, and UAT phases.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure adherence to data governance and compliance standards.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide team members to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 Core Banking Data Migration projects completed on Finacle (Mandatory).
• Strong understanding of Core Banking Platforms (Finacle, Silverlake, etc.) and their data models.
• Proven track record of leading successful data migration projects in banking/financial institutions.
• SQL expertise is mandatory.
• Strong functional knowledge across Assets, Liabilities, Trade Finance, and GL modules.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex migration initiatives.

• Financial/Accounting certifications
• Governance or Project Management certifications
