Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create innovative textile designs that align with current fashion trends, ensuring uniqueness and marketability.
  • Conduct thorough research on materials, techniques, and color palettes to inspire and inform design choices.
  • Collaborate closely with product development teams to translate design concepts into tangible textiles and products.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality textile patterns and technical specifications.
  • Prepare and present design presentations to stakeholders, showcasing ideas and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the sampling process, ensuring the final product meets quality standards and design intent.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, attending trade shows and exhibitions to gather inspiration and insights.
  • Maintain organized records of design projects, including sketches, samples, and production timelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in textile design, showcasing a robust portfolio of successful projects.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and textile-specific CAD applications.
  • Familiarity with various textile materials and their properties, including sustainability considerations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining creativity.
  • A passion for fashion and textiles, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
  • Experience in trend analysis and forecasting to ensure designs remain relevant and competitive.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus for global market engagement.
  • Willingness to travel for fabric sourcing, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance industry connections.
