Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the efficiency of all utility systems (power, water, gas, compressed air) to minimize operational costs and ensure continuous steel production.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for utility equipment, including boilers, chillers, and distribution networks, to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
- Manage utility consumption data, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for energy conservation and process improvements within the steel manufacturing plant.
- Lead and mentor a team of utility technicians and engineers, providing technical guidance, performance evaluations, and training to ensure operational excellence.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar, demonstrating expertise in energy management.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of experience in utility management within a steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of steelmaking processes and their impact on utility consumption and demand.
