Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promptly seat them at their tables.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, and clarifying any special requests or dietary needs.
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately, maintaining proper presentation and ensuring guests' satisfaction with their meals.
  • Provide attentive and responsive service throughout the dining experience, anticipating guests' needs and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
  • Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes and silverware, and resetting tables for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Upsell menu items and beverages by making recommendations and describing dishes enticingly, increasing revenue and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Handle payments accurately, processing cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and providing correct change.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, coordinating order delivery and addressing any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, including stocking supplies, polishing silverware, and ensuring cleanliness of the dining area.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction, escalating issues when necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable, indicating practical skills and knowledge.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is beneficial, showcasing familiarity with the industry.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is required, showing technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication, both written and verbal, with guests and colleagues.
