Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promptly seat them at their tables.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, and clarifying any special requests or dietary needs.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and accurately, maintaining proper presentation and ensuring guests' satisfaction with their meals.
- Provide attentive and responsive service throughout the dining experience, anticipating guests' needs and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
- Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes and silverware, and resetting tables for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and order.
- Upsell menu items and beverages by making recommendations and describing dishes enticingly, increasing revenue and enhancing the guest experience.
- Handle payments accurately, processing cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and providing correct change.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, coordinating order delivery and addressing any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including stocking supplies, polishing silverware, and ensuring cleanliness of the dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction, escalating issues when necessary.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable, indicating practical skills and knowledge.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is beneficial, showcasing familiarity with the industry.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is required, showing technical aptitude.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication, both written and verbal, with guests and colleagues.
- No specific nationality preference is required, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
