Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role responsibilities:

  • Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel and technology, to optimize project outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and other departments to ensure project success and address any concerns or requirements effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes and practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance design quality and operational efficiency
  • Prepare bid packages, review proposals and lead meetings with design Consultants (related to architectural design scope)
  • Check and approve designs provided by Business Development or prepared either in-house or by third party and ensure its compatibility with all design disciplines.
  • Prepare Architectural deliverables list in line with the employer and authority requirements as well as the overall project schedule (in coordination with the Planning)
  • Prepare Architectural design budgets and keep an up-to-date record of progress.
  • Manage the interaction with authorities when needed to ensure the quick and delay-free issuance of all required permits.
  • Manage the process of scope clarity to achieve clarity and traceability.
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with project goals and client expectations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of modelers/draftsman and architects, fostering professional development and ensuring cohesive team performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, addressing project challenges and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation in design practices and integrate advanced technologies to enhance project outcomes and design quality.
  • Responsible for the division's manpower resource planning and assists the HR division in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Sets goals and objectives for division and subordinates, delegates duties and responsibilities and tracks progress towards successful achievement.
  • Conducts a fair performance review for subordinates and provides constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the training and development needed for division's effective operations and subordinates' career development.
  • Promotes a positive team spirit by motivating subordinates to reach their full potential.

Educational Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong portfolio of industrial architectural designs (warehouses, cold stores, datacenters, steel buildings, precast, etc.)
  • Familiar with UAE building code and permitting procedures (i.e. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, etc.)
  • Strong skills in client focus, teamwork, leadership, planning, decision-making, and results delivery
  • Proficient in REVIT, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and general computer applications
  • LEED and/or PQP accreditation
  • Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Strong portfolio of industrial architectural designs (warehouses, cold stores, datacenters, steel buildings, precast, etc.)

Familiar with UAE building code and permitting procedures (i.e. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, etc.)

Strong skills in client focus, teamwork, leadership, planning, decision-making, and results delivery

Proficient in REVIT, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and general computer applications

LEED and/or PQP accreditation
