Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to standard recipes

  • Measure, mix, and prepare doughs and batters with consistency and accuracy

  • Ensure quality, freshness, taste, and presentation of all baked products

  • Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times

  • Manage ingredient stock levels and report shortages or wastage

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery work area

  • Assist in product development and seasonal menu planning when required

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training or baking certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen, showcasing a strong foundation in baking techniques.
  • Familiarity with various baking methods and styles, from traditional bread-making to contemporary pastry arts.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of ingredients, ensuring physical fitness and stamina for the demands of the job.
