Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Industrial Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial sectors for the Middle East & Africa region:

    • Oil & Gas

    • Power

    • Chemicals & Petrochemicals

    • Pharmaceuticals

    • Food & Beverage

    • Metals & Mining

  • Promote solutions such as:

    • Industrial water treatment systems

    • Wastewater treatment & reuse

    • Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

    • Process water optimization

2. Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial clients

  • Act as the primary interface for customer engagement and solution positioning

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts

3. Solution Selling & Proposal Development

  • Understand client requirements and develop customized technical-commercial solutions

  • Work closely with engineering and proposal teams to:

    • Prepare techno-commercial proposals

    • Define project scope and costing

    • Ensure alignment with client expectations

  • Support contract negotiations and closure

4. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities

  • Identify emerging opportunities in:

    • Water reuse and recycling mandates

    • Sustainability-driven industrial investments

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for targeted industrial segments

5. Partnerships & Channel Development

  • Develop relationships with:

    • Industrial consultants

    • EPC contractors

    • Technology providers

  • Explore partnership models to enhance market penetration

6. Project Development & Execution Support

  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, project management, finance)

  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to execution

  • Monitor project progress and maintain client satisfaction

7. Sustainability & Value Proposition

  • Promote sustainable water solutions aligned with:

    • ESG goals

    • Water conservation mandates

  • Advocate:

    • Water reuse and recycling

    • Energy-efficient treatment technologies

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education:

    • B.E / BTech (Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental / Civil)

    • MBA (Preferred – Marketing / Strategy)

  • Experience:

    • 8–15 years in business development within industrial water / wastewater / EPC sectors

    • Strong exposure to industrial clients and project sales

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of industrial water & wastewater technologies

    • Proven track record in B2B sales and key account management

    • Techno-commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills

    • Strategic thinking and market analysis capability

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
