Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
As a Cashier at Calo, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by handling customer transactions, managing orders, and supporting front-of-house operations.
In addition to cashier responsibilities, you will be expected to learn and support basic barista duties, including beverage preparation and maintaining coffee station standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to develop new skills within the hospitality industry.
Main Responsibilities Cashier Responsibilities-
Welcome customers with a friendly and professional attitude

Accurately take customer orders and process payments through the POS system

Handle cash, card, and digital transactions efficiently and accurately

Answer customer inquiries and provide menu recommendations
-
Promote menu items, offers, and combo deals when appropriate
-
Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
-
Ensure accuracy of orders before serving customers or dispatching deliveries
-
Follow proper cash handling procedures, including opening and closing balances
-
Learn and support the preparation of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to Calo standards
-
Assist with beverage station setup, organization, and replenishment
-
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of coffee machines, equipment, and workstations
-
Ensure beverage quality and presentation standards are consistently met
-
Support the caf team during peak hours and operational needs
-
Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to ensure smooth order flow
-
Support delivery and pickup operations when required
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area
-
Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards
-
Maintain a positive and professional approach with customers and coworkers

Saudi National (Mandatory)
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, cashiering, hospitality, or F&B
-
Experience in caf s, restaurants, or quick-service restaurants is a plus
-
Currently based in Saudi Arabia

Basic English communication skills (Arabic required)

Comfortable using POS systems and technology

Willingness to learn barista skills and support caf operations

Customer-focused with a positive attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
